Configuring NetUP Streamer via
the Web Interface
The Web interface is intended for setting main NetUP streamer parameters. The four main sections are available for an administrator:
- DVB - for configuring DVB adapters;
- RF/RCA - for configuring analog adapters;
- Network - for configuring network interfaces;
- System - for setting system parameters.
By default, the section
DVB is opened.
Note: Standard login and password for logging into the system are admin / 123456. It is recommended that you change them to more secure ones.
DVB Section
In the DVB section a list of all installed DVB adapters and their statuses are shown (figure 1).
Fig. 1
The Adapter column contains numbers of adapters in ascending order.
In the Hardware column it can be seen adapter status. (OK message means that everything
is fine; Failed message indicates a hardware failure of the device).
In the Service column the software statuses are shown (Running message indicates that the service
is running; Stopped message means that the service has been stopped).
Note: The column headers Adapter, Hardware and Service can be clicked with the right mouse button
to enable sorting on the column. Repeated click on the header reverses the sorting order.
In the Actions column operations on a particular adapter are listed, namely:
- Configure - switch to setting adapter basic parameters;
- Channels - switch to the channel tune mode;
- EPG - switch to the EPG window;
- Start Service - start the service if not running;
- Stop Service - stop the service if running.
Note: Stopping the service breaks streaming of TV channels into the network by the adapter.
''Configure'' - Configuring Basic Adapter Parameters
In this section main DVB adapter parameters are available (figure 2).
Fig. 2
For convenience, the parameters are divided into 7 groups:
''Channels'' - Channel Settings
In this section all channels, found by the DVB adapter, are listed (figure 10).
Note: For correct work of this screen, the adapter software must be running.
Fig. 10
The upper group (Adapter Status) shows the current adapter status. Then it follows the list of all channels
found by the adapter at this frequency. Besides the channel name, there are shown its identifier, audio and
video PID and also an identifier of the CA system (CAID). A channel type is marked by an icon on the left
and can be one of the following:
- open TV stream;
- scrambled TV stream;
- open radio stream;
- scrambled radio stream.
In the beginning of the list the channels that are being streamed into the network (if present) are
listed. Additionally, multicast IP address and port are given.
After them non-configured channels follow (instead an IP address they are are marked as Not Configured).
To configure the channel, click with the left mouse button on the channel header and in the appeared block (figure 11) specify the necessary parameters.
Fig. 11
On pressing the Save button, the channel parameters are saved.
If you wish to cancel the channel streaming into the network, use the Unconfigure button.
''EPG'' - Electronic Program Guide
On this page it can be seen the electronic program guide, received from a satellite (figure 12).
Note: For the correct work of this page it is required that in adapter settings (section EPG Database Settings)
MySQL server access parameters are set.
Fig. 12
For each program the following information is provided:
- Event ID - a unique program identifier (identifier of the program in the stream is the last 5 digits);
- Start Time - program start date;
- Duration - program duration;
- Language - a language of the program;
- Program -the program name and brief description.
RF/RCA Section
In the RF/RCA section a list of all installed analog adapters and their statuses is shown (figure 13).
Fig. 13
The Adapter column contains numbers of adapters in ascending order.
In the Hardware column it can be seen an adapter status (OK message means that everything
is working fine; Failed message indicates a hardware failure of the device).
The Service column shows a software status (Running or Stopped).
The Channel column contains description of the videostream, set in the adapter parameters.
In the IP/Port column it can be seen a multicast IP address and port to which the channel is streamed.
Note: The column headers Adapter, Hardware, Service, Channel
and IP/Port can be clicked with the right mouse button to enable sorting on the column. Repeated
click on the header reverses the sorting order.
In the Actions column operations on a particular adapter are listed, namely:
- Configure - switch to setting adapter basic parameters;
- Start Service - start the service if not running;
- Stop Service - stop the service if running.
Note: Stopping the service breaks streaming of TV channels into the network by the adapter.
''Configure'' - Configuring the Adapter
This section contains main adapter settings (figure 14).
Fig. 14
For convenience the parameters are divided into 3 groups:
-
Adapter Status (figure 15).

Fig. 15
In this group it is shown the current adapter status. The information is being
periodically updated every 2 seconds. It can be seen the parameter Service
Status (Running or Stopped);
-
Adapter Settings (figure 16).

Fig. 16
The following parameters are available in this group:
- Channel Name - a channel name that is shown in the Channel column in the list of installed adapters (RF/RCA section);
- Video Source - a source of video signal. Possible values are: RF, S-Video, RCA;
- Frequency - the video signal frequency (in KHz). The parameter is available only for the RF signal source;
- Video Standard - a standard of color encoding. Available values are: PAL, SECAM;
- Bitrate (bits per second). Possible values are: 512000 to 8000000.
-
Multicast Settings (figure 17).

Fig. 17
In this group it can be set an IP address and port for streaming the signal via IP multicast.
Network Section
In the Network section it is shown a list of all network interface cards and their statuses (figure 18).
Fig. 18
The Interface column contains adapter names.
In the Status column an adapter status is indicated (OFF, ON).
In the MAC column it is shown the adapter MAC address.
In the column IP it is shown the list of IP addresses assigned to the adapter.
In the Multicast column it can be selected the adapter used to multicast the streams.
Note: To select another adapter, just click the button next to it.
In the Actions column the list of operations on the adapter is available, namely:
- Configure - switch to the adapter configuration mode;
''Configure'' - Configuring the Adapter
In this section the main adapter settings are available (figure 19).
Fig. 19
For convenience the parameters are divided into 3 main groups:
-
Adapter Settings (figure 20).

Fig. 20
In this group the adapter name (Adapter) and MAC address (MAC Address) are shown;
-
IP Addresses - IP addresses assigned to the adapter (figure 21).

Fig. 21
In this group the IP addresses assigned to the adapter are shown. To delete an
address, use the Remove button next to it. To change an address, change it in the
entry field and press Save.
-
