NetUP Transcoder 2.0
Is designed for
- OTT IPTV providers (Internet TV). Streaming to both desktop and mobile devices via networks with varying bandwidth requires simultaneously transcoding to multiple resolutions and bitrates. Resulting streams are syncronized by key-frames (I-frame alignment) and put together in a single adaptive stream that allows the client to select certain quality, depending on available bandwidth.
- CATV networks (cable television) nowadays still have a lot of customers with legacy STBs capable of receiving only MPEG-2 streams with a high signal quality sensitivity. CATV providers use transcoding to convert modern H.264 streams to MPEG-2 appropriate for those STBs.
- Mosaic TV is used for visual monitoring of the signal presense and image quality for multiple channels simultaneously.
