is NetUP's IPTV Probe a free and open source IPTV monitoring tool?
is it software application?
is there an simple way to configure it upon my design?

NetUP IPTVProbe is simple but requires some technical skills. What software/hardware (servers, IP STB ) are you using in your IPTV network ?
what are you planning to achieve with IPTV monitoring system ? |

we are using Tandberg iTTV4.7 middle-ware, Tandberg TT1260 receiver, Tandberg TT1740 streamer and Motorola STB.
what i want from Monitor system is: send alarm for pixelation, freeze, off air and low PER signal.... |

IPTVprobe works as client-server. Client must run on an IP STB. Do you have SDK (C compiler and development environment) for your IP STB ?
In this case we can compile IPTVprobe for your model of IP STB.
IPTVprobe can display lost IP packets count. This type of error is a case of "pixelation, freeze". We can try to deploy IPTVprobe in your network if this matches you requirements. |

What you mean by SDK? what you need to know about Motorola STB? I will be more than happy if you can edit your IPTVprobe to fit our requirements. |

C API (C SDK) is a set of header files (*.h) and libraries (*.a or *.so) implemented in the C/C++
programming language. C API must allow to compile linux kernel modules and usual user-level applications. SDK must contain cross gnu c compiler (gcc, toolchain). |
